One of the reasons for the success of Republican candidates in Delaware County is the record that our Republican voters have of consistently nominating the best, most highly qualified, and experienced candidates year in and year out. 

This year’s Republican candidates for countywide office are no different. 

Running for Delaware County Council, are Colleen Morrone, Tom McGarrigle, and John McBlain.  These three candidates have extensive background in municipal government, where they have demonstrated a commitment to fiscal responsibility and keeping our taxes low.  Colleen, Tom, and John have collectively worked on 33 municipal budgets, 25 of which resulted in either tax decreases or no tax increases for township and borough residents.
Our five candidates for Judge of the Delaware Court of Common Pleas also boast impressive records.  Christine Fizzano Cannon, John P. Capuzzi, Sr., G. Michael Green, Spiros E. Angelos, and Nathaniel C. Nichols boast impressive legal resumes that make them ideal candidates to serve local residents as judges.  Their background and experience resulted in each of them receiving the Delaware County Bar Association’s highest rating of “well-qualified” for the Court of Common Pleas – the only candidates to earn this high distinction.  With more than 100 years of legal experience among them, it is not hard to see why they earned this honor.  
Jack Whelan, our candidate for Delaware County District Attorney, also boasts unmatched qualifications.  The current Chairman of Delaware County Council, Whelan previously served as an Assistant District Attorney for Delaware County for five years, prosecuting a wide range of criminal defendants, ranging from felony and misdemeanor trials to high-profile first-degree murder jury trials.  Whelan also served in the District Attorney’s Office as trial team leader, a position with responsibilities that included case management, case assignments and supervision of the trial team.

Experience. Common Sense.  Leadership.  These are the qualities each of our candidates for County office possess.  With your support in the November General Election, we will elect some of the best and brightest minds our region has to offer to lead Delaware County into the future.
